Quick Pre Requisites:

  1. Back up your valuable data and settings via a recommended custom recovery tool such as ClockworkMod (CWM) or TWRP.
  2. Things you need to back up: SMS (How to Backup SMS and Restore it on any Android Device), Contacts, Call log (Backup and Restore Call Logs on Android), Images, songs, videos, files which are present in your internal memory, APN and MMS settings (follow this path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”)
