ZTE Z998 smartphone which is dubbed as Mustang has been spotted in a leaked image earlier. This device sports AT&T branding and is yet to be announced by them but this device has been spotted on ZTE website which still has got the AT&T logo on it.

This new ZTE device has now dropped its codename Mustang and is now simply refereed as ZTE Z998. If we keep the AT&T branding aside for a while, the ZTE website has clearly listed as this device will head towards AT&T. But the carrier has not opened their mouth or made any official announcements regarding its arrival.

ZTE website has already listed the specs of the device even before it is officially announced by AT&T. The ZTE Z998 device will sport a 4.5-inch display which supports a resolution of 960×540 and is powered by a dual 1.2GHz MSM8930 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

This device comes with 4GB of internal storage which could be expanded via microSD card. It has two camera’s one 5-mega-pixel rear camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, the other front facing camera wio\th 1-megapixel. Coonectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE connectivity and GPS. This device comes with a 2070 mAh battery.

ZTE Z998 key specifications:

  • 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540) display
  • 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor
  • 1GB RAM

AT&T will likely offer the ZTE Z998 for a low price (both on, and off contract), since the handset’s specs won’t make anyone droll, and its design is pretty bland, too. You can check this phone at ZTE USA.
